CASE STUDY:
SIMPLIFY CONNECT™ 2026
When the Conference Has More Moving Parts, the Media Production Has to Keep Up.
Orlando, FL | Multi-Day Healthcare Leadership Conference
Photography + Video + Executive Interviews + Rapid-Turnaround Content
Simplify CONNECT™ wasn't a conference built around one ballroom, one stage or one type of interaction.
Hundreds of healthcare leaders came together in Orlando for executive discussions, peer-led sessions, networking, Discovery Booths, community programming and experiences extending beyond the conference venue.
For BURNS Media Productions, that created a very specific assignment:
Build one coordinated media operation capable of following all of it.
Simplify needed photography and video across a conference with multiple environments, significant executive participation, dedicated interview production, rapid-turnaround content and offsite attendee experiences—all while creating a deeper visual library capable of supporting the organization well beyond the event itself.
This wasn't simply an event that needed to be photographed.
It was a live content production.
The Challenge
A Conference Doesn't Happen in One Place Anymore.
The traditional model of conference coverage is straightforward:
Put a photographer in the ballroom. Photograph the speakers. Capture some networking. Deliver a gallery.
Simplify CONNECT required something considerably broader.
Across the program, the story moved between:
Executive keynotes and panel discussions
Healthcare payer leaders and industry experts
Discovery Booths and sponsor interactions
Networking and attendee experiences
Community-focused programming
Executive and attendee interviews
Receptions and dinners
Offsite attendee experiences
Photography needed while the conference was still happening
Video being captured simultaneously for larger post-event storytelling
Each environment served a different purpose.
And each required a different approach.
The challenge wasn't simply making sure cameras were present.
It was determining what mattered, where the production team needed to be, what could not be missed, what content Simplify needed immediately and how all of those pieces would ultimately work together.
The Assignment
BURNS Media Productions was engaged to provide integrated conference media production for Simplify CONNECT™ 2026 in Orlando.
The production was built around a multi-person team providing coordinated photography and video coverage across the conference.
The scope included:
Multi-day conference photography
Conference videography
Executive speakers and panel discussions
Discovery Booths and sponsor activity
Networking and attendee interactions
Brand and environmental details
Community and experiential programming
Dedicated executive and attendee interviews
Rapid-turnaround photography
Social-first video content
A polished conference recap film
Comprehensive edited photography
Edited testimonial and interview content
Organized source media for continued organizational use
The objective was not simply to create a large quantity of assets.
It was to build a production system around the conference.
The BURNS Approach
One Production. Multiple Workstreams.
A conference this layered cannot be covered effectively by treating every deliverable as a separate assignment.
Photography affects video.
Interviews affect floor coverage.
Executive availability affects scheduling.
Rapid-turnaround requirements affect how images move from cameras through the post-production workflow.
Offsite programming creates an entirely different production environment from a controlled ballroom.
And all of it continues happening while the conference itself moves forward.
BURNS approached Simplify CONNECT as one interconnected production with multiple workstreams.
The team operated from a shared production plan.
Coverage responsibilities were established before the conference.
Interview production was coordinated around the larger event schedule.
Photography and video priorities were considered together.
Rapid-delivery requirements were incorporated into the workflow from the beginning.
And production oversight remained centralized so Simplify wasn't responsible for coordinating a collection of individual creatives.
That distinction becomes increasingly important as an event grows more complex.
The client shouldn't have to produce the production company.
Pre-Production Is Part of the Product
Much of the work required to cover a complicated conference happens before anyone presses a shutter button.
For Simplify CONNECT, production planning included coordination around:
Conference programming
Key executives and stakeholders
Interview scheduling
Interview-station preparation
Crew responsibilities
Coverage priorities
Multiple conference environments
Offsite production logistics
Rapid-turnaround deliverables
Post-production deadlines
Asset organization and handoff
The objective was to make the complexity largely invisible once the conference began.
The crew needed to know where to be.
Interview environments needed to be ready before participants arrived.
Coverage priorities needed to be understood.
Deliverables needed to begin moving through the production pipeline while the conference itself was still underway.
And Simplify needed to be able to concentrate on running CONNECT rather than managing its media team.
Plan deliberately. Communicate clearly. Arrive ready to execute.
Multiple Days. Very Different Environments.
One Visual Story.
Simplify CONNECT moved through distinctly different experiences.
The production needed to move with it.
Community
Community-focused programming created opportunities to document a different dimension of the conference.
This wasn't traditional ballroom photography.
The visual priority became participation, interaction, energy and the human side of the organization.
Connection
Welcome programming, receptions, networking and Discovery Booths created another kind of visual environment.
Here, the important moments weren't necessarily scheduled.
They happened between people.
A conversation.
A handshake.
An introduction.
A demonstration.
An executive stopping to speak with an attendee.
Conference photography has to anticipate those moments rather than simply wait for them.
Thought Leadership
The primary conference program brought together payer executives and industry leaders for discussions spanning AI, health-plan operations, modernization, provider operations, claims, regulatory challenges and other issues shaping the industry.
That required disciplined stage coverage—but also attention beyond the podium.
Audience reactions.
Panel dynamics.
Speaker interactions.
Leadership.
Brand presence.
And the relationships that communicate the scale and credibility of the gathering.
Experience
CONNECT also extended beyond traditional conference programming through dinners and attendee experiences.
The environment changed.
The visual language changed with it.
But the objective remained the same:
Document what it actually felt like to participate in Simplify CONNECT.
Building a Dedicated Interview Production Inside a Live Conference
Some of the Most Valuable Content Doesn't Happen on Stage.
Conference sessions document what speakers say publicly.
Interviews create an opportunity to go deeper.
For Simplify CONNECT, BURNS Media Productions incorporated a dedicated interview workflow into the larger conference production, to capture client testimonial videos.
That meant preparing a controlled interview environment while photography and video coverage continued elsewhere.
The interview station was designed to be production-ready before scheduled participants arrived, minimizing the amount of executive time consumed by the process.
Rather than pulling people away from the conference and then beginning setup, the objective was simple:
They arrive. They sit down. We capture the conversation. They return to the conference.
Those conversations created something fundamentally different from event documentation.
They created original content.
[POST-EVENT: Insert number of completed interviews.]
Those interviews can continue working long after the ballroom is empty—through testimonials, social content, marketing campaigns, sales enablement and future conference promotion.
That's an important distinction.
A conference can be more than something an organization spends money documenting.
It can become the raw material for its next several months of content.
When the Plan Met the Conference
No conference executes exactly according to its run of show.
This section should ultimately tell one real story from CONNECT where preparation, communication or crew coordination mattered.
Perhaps an executive became unexpectedly available.
Perhaps two important moments occurred simultaneously.
Perhaps the schedule shifted and coverage responsibilities needed to change.
Perhaps an unexpected interaction became one of the strongest pieces of content from the conference.
Whatever happens, the point isn't to manufacture drama.
It's to demonstrate what experienced conference production looks like when the plan meets a live event.

The Result
One Conference Became a Content Library.
By the conclusion of Simplify CONNECT, the objective should be visible in the resulting body of work.
Not simply photographs.
Not simply footage.
Not simply a recap film.
A coordinated collection of media documenting the conference from multiple perspectives while creating assets for different organizational purposes.
Immediate communications.
Conference recap.
Executive thought leadership.
Testimonials.
Social content.
Sponsor and partner visibility.
Future event marketing.
Organizational storytelling.
And an archive capable of supporting Simplify long after CONNECT 2026 concluded.

The strongest client assessment won't simply be that the photographs looked good.
The more important question is:
Did BURNS Media Productions make a complicated media assignment easier for Simplify to manage?
That's the real measure of the production.

The Business Value
Your Conference Is Already Producing Content. The Question Is Whether You're Capturing It.
A substantial conference concentrates an unusual amount of organizational value into a very short period of time.
Executives are together.
Customers are together.
Partners are together.
Industry experts are together.
Your brand is physically expressed in an environment you spent months creating.
People are having conversations that normally require flights, meetings and weeks of scheduling to reproduce.
And then, several days later, everyone leaves.
That's why BURNS doesn't view conference media simply as “documentation.”
The conference itself is a content opportunity.
A properly designed production can transform several days of programming into photography, video, interviews, testimonials, executive content, social assets and a long-term visual library.
But doing that requires thinking about media before the conference begins.
Who should be interviewed?
What needs to be available immediately?
Which executives matter?
What stories should be captured?
Where will content ultimately be used?
What needs to happen simultaneously?
What cannot be recreated afterward?
Those questions determine the production.
The cameras simply execute it.
When the Assignment Gets Bigger Than “Send a Photographer,” Call BURNS.
BURNS Media Productions supports substantial conferences, national associations, corporate meetings, healthcare events and trade shows throughout the United States with integrated photography, video, executive interviews, professional headshots and rapid-turnaround content.
We build the production around the conference—not the conference around a predetermined media package.
If your next event has enough moving pieces that photography and video need to be managed rather than merely booked, that's where the conversation should begin.
